This is one of the best books I have read in a long time! The details of the injuries and healing are graphic. A love that transcends time, beautifully written.

The entire story is told from five year old Jacks point of view. He has never been outside of this one room. It is his entire existence, it is all he knows. He and his mother maintain a daily and weekly routine as much as possible within the confines of this room. A mystery as well as a thriller, a brilliantly written novel with such stark insight into a child's mind. An excellent read!
Our group did not think the writing was up to par.
The story had adventure, intrigue and was unique!I I looked forward to reading it every night and hated for it to end.
