I could not put this book down. The author captures your attention and your emotion from the beginning and never lets go. It is a story that will not soon be forgotten.

This book will grab you from the start and keep you hooked. What was most interesting for me was the mental toughness the main character had to have to get one step ahead of the man who abducted her and how it changed her forever. Will leave you wondering whether you could have done what she did and what you might have done differently.

Spying in High Heels

After reading a number of books that focused on dark or dramatic topics, I looked for something fun to break it up. This was perfect! There isn't anything to discuss in a book club setting but what a fantastic beach read! Plenty of mystery, romance and of course...the shoes!

Kate Morton has weaved another perfect tale! Milderhurst Castle takes on a life of its own and should be considered a main character in this book. Beautifully written, you will be transformed to a place that holds dark secrets, unrealized dreams and sacrifice.

Before you go to sleep...

...consider waking up tomorrow and not remembering anything. Yes. There are bad days that you wish you could forget but to forget everything and do you think that you could trust the people around you? Would anyone tell you lies? What purpose would it serve and how would you even know? Would you realize that you remembered something or consider it a figment of your imagination?

These are children

It is hard to remember that the characters in this book are children. Our club enjoyed the book very much and fell in love with the characters. Many have already moved onto the second book as soon as they put down the first. It is a story that wil stay with you and raises so many moral and ethical questions. It was a great pick for book club. Highly and strongly recommend.
