Thoughts on Cutting For Stone

I thought the book was very interesting. The twin element was fascinating. The characters were beautifully developed. The story was different and moving.

The 19th Wife

The way the author wove the past and the present in the two separate, but related stories, was interesting and kept me reading and looking forward to the next chapter. Even though this was fiction, the obviously well researched topic, is a part of our American history, and I think most people will find it informative. This book was a good choice for our club because it provided us with a lot of topics for discussion. It turned out some of our members have Mormon roots and were able to share family stories.

Gone Girl

I would recommend this book to other book clubs because it is a great book for discussion. The main characters are so flawed and devious you want to explore what motivates them to do the things they do in the story.

The Invention of Wings

It is not often all members of my book club end up liking the book, but everyone really enjoyed this book. The book is an interesting and well written historical fictional account of several very strong and intelligent women who were definitely ahead of their time.

The Boston Girl was hit with our book club

We all enjoyed this book by Diamant so much, and the host for an upcoming book club chose Diamant\\\'s other book, The Red Tent, for her selection.
Addie Baum is a young woman ahead of her time. She decides very early in her life to surround herself with positive and ambitious women. Even though her parents provide little support for her dreams of getting an education, Addie persists with the help of her friends. She never gives up!
