Each Hickory Ridge novel is built around the themes of the immeasurable greatness of God's wisdom and His love for us, the importance of forgiveness, the struggle for social justice, and the hidden histories that shape us as Southerners. I came to love the stories of our ancestors and our common history. Its about those women who simply did what had to be done without hope of reward or fame. It's their stories I want to tell.
