My Reviews
I enjoyed reading this book. It had some funny moments in it and was informative about the south and how people were treated during that decade. It was interesting too to see how people felt
then and what their emotions were.
I found this book an easy read. It was very insightful as to where it took place and how that particular event evolved. It was something that I had not learned about the Nazi hstory. Both mailn characters held my interest to the point i didn't want to put the book down.
Our book club gave this book a "WOW"!
This book was an easy read for me. It showed the life of residents on an island during WWII. It was an interesting story with some drama in it. The main character is easy and fun to follow. It's nice to read her thoughts and emotions.
I found the book confusing in parts. I would have preferred a little more description for certain things. Also, I thought the language was very flowery. The story line, tho, was good and held one's interest. The author did well for her first book.
My overall view was negative. I guess the writer was funny but in a sarcastic way.
This book was full of math and scientific details which were a bit confusing and boring for me. I was able to skim over those parts and follow the plot of the story pretty well. It was an interesting topic.
The story line was good, but there was too much delving into emotions and character analyzing. Also I do not care for chapters to go from one view and then another view. It makes it hard to follow the story and remember the characters. It also made the story slow for me.
