I totally enjoyed this read. I said it was informative, because I don't have any medical background and I learned alot from this book. It is long, but worth the time.

The book was interesting with details of how plantations, etc were run back in that time. The character Lavania truly tried to make the best out of her dismal situation.

This book showed me things in life that are not normally something I think about. The main character Victoria had to overcome so much in her life and her heart was hardened. But in the end, she could allow herself to let others love her and appreciate what her life had become.
