The Color of Lies by Donna Meredith
Book Club Recommended
Interesting, Insightful, Optimistic
The Color of LiesThis book is a great read, and deals in a thought-proviking matter with the subjects of prejudice - both racial and gender - and the nature of truth. The characters are convincingly drawn, interesting, complex people. Many in our group had been teachers at one time or another and found the high school context to be very realistic. The author had clearly drawn on her 29 years of experience as a teacher. The writing itself is a delight - Donna has a wonderful sense of style.
