Adventurous, Interesting, Informative
May Dodd's adventures of become a Cheyenne Indian bride is a wonderful story of strength, friendship and beginning anew.

This story was wonderful, I couldn't put it down. It gave me a whole new perspective on the life of the Indians and I enjoyed it. It was a lovely story of a strong woman who just keeps going, despite the pains she's faced in her life. And there have been a few... I wanted it to be a true story!

Modern day story of the haves and the have nots.

This book disturbed me in a "you should read it" way. It was so gripping and I really felt for the characters. It's hard for me to determine how much truth there is to it since I'm not well versed in illegal immigration, but I am leaning towards "it's probably on the true side". It really lends itself to some great discussions.
I was very disappointed with the abrupt ending. It was kind of wierd the way he ended it, and I got no closure. And I really needed the closure!!
It didn't leave me with a good feeling, but I couldn't put it down....that says something.

A story about the troubles between Catholic and Jewish Polish people stemming from WWII and beyond.

A moving story of disturbing family bonds.

This was one of those books I couldn't put down, because I "just had to find out" how it would end. A very well written interesting book, I really enjoyed it.

Circus life during the depression era.

This was a good story, very interesting if you don't know anything about circus life. A nice weave between past and present. Well done.

Evidence of My Existence by Jim Lo Scalzo

A great story from a photojournalist as he shares his incredible life stories.

This book was very good, I really enjoyed it. It had wonderful descriptions of all the places he'd been and things he'd experienced, with the personal side of it all. I laughed, cried, was shocked a little and learned a lot about the world, and "making pictures" too. Very well done.

Lipstick Jungle by Candace Bushnell

Sex and the city with blah characters

This book had no depth, no character development and we didn't connect with the characters at all. In fact many of us felt we couldn't keep them straight simply because we didn't care about them. It's the same basic story of sex and the city, been there, done that.....boring...

The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer, Annie Barrows

At first I thought I wouldn't be into this book, given the subject matter. But I started it anyway, and after 3 pages I couldn't put it down. It was amazing, she wrote it in the childs voice, in a childlike language, it really transported you. A fantastic book.
