My Reviews
This was a joy to read. Mark Twain writes this with tongue in cheek, making his point while I laughed at the antics of his characters. You feel yourself along for the ride as the float down the river.
A dark subject, but very well written. Everyone in our club liked the book.
Our club enjoyed the book and would highly recommend it. It has adventure, questions to ponder and some twists you don't see coming. It gave us a lot to talk about.
The author was very descriptive and wordy and I found I didn't really like any of the characters. In the end I liked the story, but It was over half way through the book before I started getting into the book.
This book was about two sisters during WWII in France and the decisions they had to make to survive. The day to day hardships and unexpected horrors that came out of the blue gave us so many topics to discuss. We all loved this book.
