Our book club ranges from age 25 to 91 and we all enjoyed this book. Lively discussion on the changing roles of women in our society.

The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks

This is an absolutely amazing story!! And it's true! Unbelieveable story - something for everyone - science, history, gossip, culture, social changes, and ethics. (Don't worry, there's not so much science your eyes will glaze over.)
This was an eye-opening book for us on many levels.

This was an excellent young adult book. This book lends itself to interesting discussion.

While I did enjoy the book I really wasn't too sure the first 50 pages or so. Stick with it, it is worth it. Most of our book club loved the book, although some had trouble with the vocabulary. It was a good book for a deeper discussion.

Everyone in our book club LOVED this book. We hated for it to end... Lots of great discussion topics and emotions to talk about. How isolating and rigid for everyone!

The Girl w/ the Dragon Tattoo

This was just the beginning of a fantastic ride. It's hard to get started since we are unfamiliar w/ Swedish names and towns and we all thought it shouldn't matter! Everyone is so mad at the author for dying - we want to read all 10 of the books he planned and answers to all of our questions. No dinner for your family this week because you won't be able to stop at the first one!

What a fun book. Lots of history and some sadness but you just wanted to board a plane and hop across the pond and meet the characters in person.

WOW! We all felt different after reading this book. The POWER of words... It is rated a young adult book but we all felt that it was an adult level book.

The Hunger Games

Written for young adults but with very adult and provocative thinking questions under the surface. Similar to reading the Chronicles of Narnia at a young age. If you're young you go along for the adventure. If you're older you enjoy the read but find yourself thinking and comparing this book to the directions we are heading in for months to come.
