Princess: A True Story of Life Behind the Veil in Saudi Arab by Jean Sasson
Insightful, Life Changing, Dramatic
The "Princess" was an admirable, honest, feisty account of life as a Princess in Saudia Arabia. We enjoyed reading the book and thought the author was very brave to have written it. The first person narrative put the whole horrible experience into perspective. The subject matter was quite intense and hard to believe it is going on in Saudia Arabia as we live our free, comfortable lives as women in the United States. We are interested in how Sultana's life has continued and if she is still living in Saudia Arabia and if she is still refusing to live under their system or if she has been able to leave it.
