It was a disturbing book although it was so well written and the author so descriptive you would place yourself in the room. The mother was so inspiring and to be applauded. The boy's perspective was really interesting and his developmental needs so advanced in some areas stunted in others. My 14 year old daughter cannot wait to read this and I am sure we will have thoughtful discussion. It is slow going at first but well worth reading especially if you are a mother.
