My Reviews
Enjoyed the WW two flashback part of the book - didn't like the mondern day as much. Events were not really believable, but enjoyed seeing how the story unfolded.
Far-fetched story with no redeeming value at the end. Characters were spoiled, self-centered people that I could not find likable.
Liked the time period of the book's setting. Found the characters believable and some likeable. Found it slow in the middle and didn't like the abrupt ending. However, the abrupt ending did leave the reader with the liberty to fill in the blanks with their own interpretations.
This book is not really an adult book club book, definately a young adult book. But as a young adult book, it was a fun mystery similar to Nancy Drew only in England. The characters were interesting and likeable. Would recommend it to my daughter.
Quite an eye opener about the early Chatholic Church. Well researched with historical fact based characters and events.
Excellant historical fiction. Raises real questions as to presumed historical guilt of Elizabeth Bathory.
Twilight for adults, but a lot less serious. Fun, quircky characters. Full of adventure.
