My Reviews
This is the second book I have read about the Japanese living in The United States during WWII and I was taken aback on how they were treated during this time of crisis. Moved into camps and treated as anything other then what they were...citizens of the USA. How tragic.
I personally worked with the elderly and found this book to be full of love and beautifully written. Nursing homes get a bad name by our society but please know that there are wonderfully, compassionate people working with our loved ones. Like in any profession there are bad seeds and they must be weeded out. I always told my staff, do not ever feel unappreciated for what you do is a true specialty and it takes a special person to care for our "old people"...there by the grace of God go I.
