My Reviews

Running with Scissors: A Memoir by Augusten Burroughs

Graphic, Dark, Difficult
Incredibly Funny and Profoundly Disturbing

This book is a great pick becuase there are so many topics for discussion: Resiliancy, Parenting, Accountability, Abuse, Discretion, Sexuality, Mental Illness, etc. I found it to be fast-paced and very easy to read despite the heavy content.

The Red Tent by Anita Diamant

Interesting, Informative, Insightful
A great read for women's book clubs

I enjoyed this book because it is very focused on an era I don't know much about. I liked the unique spin on old stories and the idea that women have always cared for each other in the best ways they knew how.
