My Reviews
Our club enjoyed the Lincoln Lawyer, much becasue it stepped outside our usual fare, and because the redemption of Mickey Haller was so sweet in the end.
Our bookclub is quick picky and although none of thought we would enjoy this book, we wanted to read it so we could see the movie. In the end, all of us gave it an A and came away with an appreciation for the lives of circus performers.
This is the only book in 2010 I kept! It was worth the 2 inches of shelf real estate and I know I will re-read it many times.
Khaled Hosseini's newest book, while less graphic than his others, is still a visually enthralling story. Its circular movement through families, time and place shows a vivid portrait of Afghani life for both the poor and the well-off, through 6 decades. Loved it!
