My Reviews
Following along in the footsteps of the movie big and freaky Friday, this is another tale of a trip through time. I like the perspective in this one though as it really gets you thinking of your own relationship with people outside of your generation and reactions to changes from their point of view in "your" world. Not a deep storyline but still gets you thinking.
not your typical story of vampires and witches...the history pieces woven throughout the story make it more "real". You will fall in love with the characters in an instant!
this book will peak your interest after each chapter as it delves further into the lives of the characters as you find yourself asking the question "what really happened?" and wanting to read further to the surprising ending
an interesting view into the what could've been story of the "wild west". One that not many people think about. I liked that it was from a woman's point of view; even with it being fiction based on some true events, not a lot of these stories are told that way
Whimiscal tale about discovering who you are meant to be and how others should see you; wrapped up in a town of family secrets and new romance.
I liked the writing because the description of the town and the characters stick in your mind; but the overall story was a little bizarre and some of the events in it unbelievable.
I like when authors can paint a version of the future to be considered. The Society in this tale thinks they can control and maintain a "perfect" community based on people's stats. This story gives into the fact that people still have emotions and those can ultimatley not be controlled. Is there a sequel though? I was left wondering what happens next?
although it is about time travel,it's really a love story and you feel like you really get to know these characters. This story has a true life quality to it with also the unknown of time travel. I totally fell in love with it!
you keep reading thinking where is this creepy tale going and then it ends very spooky. I kept imagining the girls like whisps of air barely visable to those around them...the whole story felt very eerie.
you will not be able to put this book down! Katiniss Everdeen is the herione you will be rooting for right from the beginning!
I'm not a short story reader so this was different for me. Initially I didn't know all of the stories were about Indian women per characters it seemed like I wouldn't be able to relate but its all about relationships and that applies to all.
Good Group discussion for this one! It was very intriguing and kept you wanting to read more to find out the "mystery" behind the story and how all of the pieces fit together. The author did a good job of trasisitioning from past to present.
