My Reviews
This book could be difficult to read if it had not of split up the two main characters. This was very informative because I had no idea of the French "roundup".
While not a light hearted read it was very moving and poignant.
I could barely tear myself from the pages as I read this wonderfully captivating book. I think that book clubs should read this because it really sheds some powerful insight into the plight of those working in these sweat shops and all the while opens a window into their private hopes and dreams for their family and future. Beautifully written.
I kept waiting for the revenge but all i got was her nonstop whining and neglect of her family. awful
Suzan Still has outdone herself. I loved how she introduced each character and then slowly brought us into their worlds. I felt at times like I was in that break room with them.
Prepare yourself to laugh and cry at the same time.
This was so well written that 379 pages was not enough.
So well written! I loved the attention paid to every detail. What an amazing history of a friendship - sisterhood. Because come on don't we all have that one friend who should have been our sister?
This book is such a good story of a family that is facing the loss of everything they knew following the civil war. I loved how the message of forgiveness is so clearly displayed in this book. This book is definately for one who believes in God and loves inspirational romance.
