Henrietta Lacks

I enjoyed how this book touched on not only the topic/issue of the taking of Henrietta's cells, but the study of cells and its history, and how the author tied it all together.

Poorly Written, Gloomy, Difficult
Disappointment

I was very excited to read this story for our book club based upon the reviews (from other readers and newspapers), the story line and the author's reputation. Everyone in our book group was quite disappointed in this book and found it to be disjointed, superficial, disconnected and lacking in depth. It would have been better as short stories or vignettes. We all slugged through the book to get to the end.
