My Reviews
Once you start reading you won't want to put it down. I learned a lot about what happened in the Guernsey Isles during WW II that I didn't know about.
A very interesting mystery, it might start slow for some but picks up. you learn a lot about women in medieval times and what they were and were not allowed to do. If you like history you'll like this book, the second in the series is even better...
You really don't expect to have a serial killer on the loose during the Chicago World's Fair, so many well known and important people in history coming together to get it started and see is finished. Then you have a mad-man in the background you never hear about that in history class. Almost every one in my book group liked it, if they didn't they still found it interesting.
The first time I read this book I was 11 years old. I've gone through five copies of it since then. I would recommend it to everyone.
