My Reviews
This was a great thrilling story told in the first person of different characters. It was less about Dracula as it was about Eastern European history, with a lot of mystery.
The pace is slow and laid-back, I feel like I am right at home in Botswana. I found I had to read bigger sections at a time though, to keep up with the back and forth stories in each chapter. I enjoyed this first book, and am looking forward to reading more of the series.
I read this first book in a couple of days - it was hard to put down. It's a dark and gripping world with tiny rays of light and humanity poking through. I felt I was reading on the edge of my seat. I would recommend having all three books of the series so you can continue reading right away.
