My Reviews
This book was a quick and easy read & also entertaining. It is a memoir told from a young girl's perspective. The author had a somewhat unusual and unique childhood. There were several interesting characters detailed in the book which opened the floor for lively book club discussion.
9 out of 9 did not really care for the book
This is a well written, thought provoking book. There are tones of romance, empathy, hope, personal growth, dysfunctional family dynamics, pain and loss. It was a quick read and was well liked by everyone in the book club.
Almost everyone in the Book Club enjoyed the book. It\\\'s a story about getting older and finding that life can still offer opportunities. Fairly good character development.
This is a beautifully written story about a broken man and a little girl with serious health issues who meet and come together to help each other heal. Don\\\'t let the lack of factual medical data detour you. Spiritual undertones might be a turnoff for some people. However, it is a good book for group discussion.
The book was not well received by our group in general.
One person out of 12 liked it.
This memoir paints a dark, tragic life so it's not an uplifting book read. Well written.
