Overall our members did not enjoy Tales of Despereaux. I think they were too old....but then I've always said it doesn't matter your age if it's a truely good book. I'm not sure what it was about it that I didn't like.....all of us agreed that having the narrator address us directly was distracting....perhaps that is something that might appeal to a younger reader??? I wanted to like it as it's become something of a classic......Perhaps I will try the movie....

All I will say is just to read this book.....it will intrigue and move you and make you want to be a better, more loving and accepting individual. You will smile and laugh and cry and want more.....
