My Reviews
This book is part memoir, part social history, part legal battle and part family feud. It shines a light on what happened to furniture factories and workers with the onset of globalization. Macy is such a good writer that it doesn't read like a business book. She deeply cares about what has happened to the displaced factory workers and she champions J.D. Bassett III as he fights back to save his factory and to keep his workers employed. I learned so much about a time, place and event that I knew so very little about before reading this book. I enjoyed this book so much that I want to share it with as many people as possible.
An inspiring book of Lily's life and her faith-filled journey through tragedies and triumphs. I loved reading this book and I didn't want it to end. I only wish it were a longer book!
