This was one of our club's favorites. We were intrigued (and horrified) at the idea of footbinding, and the secret language of women. Some were upset with the way women were regarded as worthless - the actions of Lily's mother were difficult to read. A very interesting glimpse into an ancient culture that
still exists in many areas of the world today.
