A really good classic book about the Nolan family in turn of the century Brooklyn. Stick with the first few chapters the characters are really interesting. Especially Aunt Sissy. This book is worth reading. It defines strong women taking care of their families with little or nothing and how the financial classes were treated so badly. Just read it. We had a great discussion.

It started well, was predictable. I thought the ending was bad. It would have been a better book with more character development and better ending.
