My Reviews
This book moved along at a quick pace. The characters were very engaging. I highly recommend this book. This is definitely a page turner with real life situations.
An excellent read. Portrays the South in a warm, and at times, humorous way. Characters are believable. Gives wonderful insight into humanity. The story depicts well emotional illness and its subsequent effects on the family. I highly recommend this book.
A Shakesperian professor who lives within his own literary walls. Devoted to his wife, but aloof with his 3 children. The 3 sisters are pretty reflective of their birth order and at times really unlikeable, but are believable and realistic. Good reading, entertaining, and intriguing family dynamics. Recommended.
Very well written. Story snags your attention and the energy never stops. One of the best written books I've read!
Immediately grabs the reader, addressing the prejudice towards Native Americans. Addresses the conflict between religious beliefs - Christianity vs. Indian gods. Tender, informative, and a love story.
Engaging. The story contains much intrigue with clues throughout. The author does a beautiful job of bringing everything together.
This book was adventurous, engaging, and brilliantly written. The reader is immediately drawn in. The author begins with one story, and then spins off to other stories, bringing the reader back to the center and then drawing the reader out, only to repeat the process again and again. There were times when it was hard to keep track of the different story characters. Overall, the book was a great read!
The stories, at times, are very graphic. The whole book reads as stand-up comedy.
This book's language and literary presentation is superb! It's accurate in portrayal of its characters. Although sad, this story truly represents what many families live. This book is one that needs to be on the high school reading list for literature.
This story immediately pulls you in and is a fairly easy read. The story does reflect issues that many older school students face daily. The ending comes as a surprise.
This book is scary from the point of realism; what happens in the book could actually happen. The book is very well written, but the content and events are dark.
A story of being sucked into the world of technology, where superficial and control run rumpant, where addiction to technology peels away the person, leaving only another cog in the wheel of power.
Loved it! Immediately draws you in. A very human story depicting real family challenges with outcomes of courage, sadness, and family strength. Not only a good story, but so very well written - a book that needs to take its place among the classics!
