A fictional story about the over worked hospital staff that almost makes you scared to go to the hospital. Gets you thinking.
Our discussion for this book was one of our most detailed and longest. We got to talking about alot of different issues that came from reading this book.
You just begin to imagine how many things can go wrong.
I never thought I would love reading historical fiction. I am not a history buff but realize now when it is presented this way: in a human story fashion I can't help but be interested, invested and wanting to learn more about that time period. Thanks. Great read!
Although cancer isn't an easy topic to discuss, this was an easy to read book. I guess I was alittle disappointed though. Didn't draw me in as much a I thought it would. I did like the ending about girlfriends.
I was a little disappointed. It is definetly a book that would inspire a discussion but I thought it would be more powerful.
It was an easy read that made you think often about whether their really were people who lived and treated their kids that way. I felt really sad at the end.
It just gets you thinking about what you believe and why you believe what you do. Thought I wasn't going to like the author's style of writing but I loved it. It was different and I loved all the comments that the boy was thinking.
A Good Discussion Book. It's not so easy to imagine having to make the choices woman in India had to make.
