My Reviews
I don't understand some of the bad reviews, I thouroghly enjoyed this book from beginning to end! The setting and the characters were wonderful. This book was my daily escape and served me well.
I'm surprised at some of the reviews of this stirring, emotional book. Strange subject matter but after a while you don't think of "The Girls" as conjoined. Loved it and didn't want it to end.
A huge disappointment if you were a fan of "House and Fog". It's about a stripper, a terrorist and some other seedy people a few days before 9/11. Loses it's tension half way through and you never really care about any of the unlikable characters.
Really enjoyed the book, actually more than I thought I would when I first started it. Our discussion was great and we found a great interview with Yates on the Random House website that really added alot.
This was so much better than I thought it would be. The author has outdone herself here with a fscinating fictionalized story of Laura Bush. Couldn't put it down.
LOVED it! So well written and captivating! Took 50 pages or so to get into the rhythm of it and then it's a non stop ride.
This was not a hit in our group!! Just awful. How this became a bestseller is beyond comprehension.
Really enjoyed the book and the style in which it was written. A long, slow read but worth it in the end.
