Sister of Silence: A Memoir by Daleen Berry

Sister of Silence is something every father, mother, teacher, aunt, uncle, brother, sister, counselor or human with a heart simply must read!

As someone who works with children of all ages, and as a mother of two now grown children, I've learned how important is has become to see through their eyes. All of us who care for others learn that when we are able to do that, we can see amazing things and our compassionate heart grows all the more.

Sister of Silence, is the touching memoir of one courageous woman who tells of her own experience as a young girl of 13 and then of her slow awareness of what had occurred to her, and how it occurred. We are taken along with her as she grows into a young mother who desperately realizes the need to save herself and her young children.

So many I meet who have read this book are saying they cannot put it down once they start and, more importantly, it opened their eyes to an awareness they never thought possible.

It is truly a brave story and I'm sure will agree!
