90 Minutes in Heaven: A True Story of Death and Life by Don Piper, Cecil Murphey
Inspiring, Interesting, Optimistic
After the author's dreadul accident he was pronounced dead and went to heaven.I felt the "heaven" experience was somewhat trite and materialistic for my personal taste. The golden streets and pearlescent gates were a little too pat. Also the evangelistic fervor was not to my spiritual taste. I believe he actually died and experienced what he perceived heaven should be like and his later reaching out to others who were disabled was commendable. I believe in life after death but I am not sure what shape this will take -- I'm pretty sure it will be in a spirit not a body form. The book did promote a good discussion.
