My Reviews
This book was interesting and the members enjoyed reading it. The story made for a good discussion
A lovely story about friendship, love and never giving up hope. Most of the ladies in my book club liked the book.
I would say that the Book was Dark and the characters were Damaged and Disturbed but the book itself was difficult to put down
This is a prequel to Roses. I found it very difficult to put down. Together both of these books would have made a wonderful mini series
It was a sad day in Chicago when Marshall Field became Macy's. He was a genius in many ways and Chicago owes him a great deal. A Wonderful read.
Having seen the problems left behind by Big Coal I can appreciate this book. I found it informative and was totaling routing for the underdog. Although noble I think it is unlikely that the main character would drop her whole previous life and jump into an abyss such as Mine country. He left the door open for another book. I think it would make a good movie.
I loved this book. She brought the war right into my family room. It made me wonder, It was 1939 and the German\\\'s had invade my homeland and had taken over my home. France was a country of women, children and old men. Fear and terror was around every corner and food was scarce. What would I do to survive?
