Unbroken

This book kept my attention right from the first chapter. I was not aware of the conditions that the pilots dealt with during WW II nor did I realize what they were subjected to in the POW camps. Amazing story!

Sarah's Key

Interesting and very sad in places. A part of WWII history that I had never heard about! Kept my interest all the way through.

The Lonely Polygamist

I thought it was a slow starter. But once Rusty and June came into the picture it got more interesting. I had some LOL moments when Rusty was in the picture. Thought the ending was sad. Most of our club members had a hard time reading it and some didn't finish.

The Life & Times of the Thunderbolt Kid

I really enjoyed this book. I was born in the early 60's but could still relate to a lot of the things that he talks about. I found it laugh out loud funny in spots. His description of things was hilarious! Our club was split, some liked it and some didn't.

Very different than any book I would normally read. Keeps your interest all the way through and you're not sure how its going to turn out until the very end. Good story!

Caleb's Crossing: A Novel by Geraldine Brooks

Calebs Crossing

The biggest problem I had with the book was the language. Needs a glossary so you can look up what the word means. Very hard to get into. Got better as it progressed. Not something I would otherwise read.
