My Reviews
One of my favorite books of all times! One person told me she kept a note listing all the different characters to keep them straight. Good idea.
I may read it again since my book club selected it to review at our March meeting.
Great book around the time of the Civil Rights Movement. Our book club enjoyed it.
Although there were some good parts in this book, it was a very slow read. I personally don't recommend it.
I really liked this book. But of course, I love Manhattan! How exciting to work in Manhattan at Tiffany's no less! And to be in Times Square on V-J Day (although perhaps dangerous). I don't want to give it away, but was a bit disappointed about her college choice.
A fast easy read. Predictable yet entertaining.
I enjoy historic fiction. This is a great, though sad book. It draws you in right from the beginning. You won't be disappointed.
I know we were supposed to study this in school, but I learned so much more about WWII from this book. I'm so very proud of our veterans and especially my Dad. It's amazing what Louis and other POW went thru.
Although a Historical fiction, I learned a lot more about the sinking of the Titanic and the survivors than I knew previously. The book really kept my attention and it was a very fast read.
Read it twice. Great book.
I like it even better than Gone Girl.
A good topic, but the author included too much information, unnecessary information. Half the book was footnotes. But worth the time for the history and women's rights.
