My Reviews
This book was very thought provoking and sad. Hemingway was a very arrogant man who did what he wanted, went where he wanted and loved the way he wanted. Hadley was the long suffering wife who did everything she could to make him happy but in the end it wasn't enough. Our book club enjoyed this book and we highly recommend it.
Book was a very interesting but sad story.
Book was good and it provided a lot of good discussion. However, most of us felt that it was very slow.
Very well done story. Enjoyed it immensely. Looking forward to reading more of Karen White.
Our Book Club highly recommends this book. It was delightful and unique in that the story was told entirely by letters.
Very good book. Very interesting group discussion but then, religious stories, always are.
Our Book Club loved this book. It was beautifully written and an interesting story. Made for excellent discussion. Highly recommend it.
This was an ok book. The main character was truly flawed and as far as mystery or suspense not truly believable. We had a great discussion. Some liked it, some did not.
Our book club felt that this book read like a Hallmark TV movie. It was difficult to believe that Ciro would show up on the day of Enza's wedding to Vito. It did make for a great discussion. But, we really did not care for it.
Excellent. Very difficult to read but worth it. Made for a wonderful discusssion. We must never forget the atrocities that happened during World War 11.
