My Reviews
This was one scary book. Even the movie is scary. King is an excellent writer. I enjoy all of his horror books
The story is set in a very poor southern african american community in 1940-50's. The description of community life reasonated with some of my early life experiences. I loved the characters. I've passed the book on to a friend.
Excellent read. I could relate on a personal level as the story evolved. I have relatives who survived the Korean and Vietnam Wars. I know.
This is a cookbook ultimately. But it also helps those of us on the healthy life style journey. The Meatless Monday Movement can be life changing. The receipes in the book are delicious. This cookbook is perfect for those clubs that meet after reading. You could discuss the cookbook at someone's home (members bring a meatless dish), have a personal chef come in and prepare the meatless meal, or select a meat free restaurant on Monday to meet and discuss. A win win.
