My Mother Was Nuts

I can't decide if I 'liked' or 'really liked' this book! I read it pretty much straight through - easy read - and I like her story telling style which is like she's just talking. I have always appreciated Marshall as an actor and a director. Her movies are some of the best of their time and her instincts are really really good. Some may say she neglected her child - we don't really know - she kind of keeps it private but admits she wasn't the best Mom ever. Some say she name drops incessantly - if the names dropped are your circle - then it's not name dropping. She surrounded herself with huge talent...they were her family, her friends. I enjoyed the book, learning about who 'Laverne' really is. We tend to think we know those we watch and come to love on the little screen never really knowing who they really are. Fun read, glad I did!

Mindbend

Cook writes about a business whose goal, it seems, is to control the medical profession by the use of it's own pharmaceuticals and mind control methods. A young medical student becomes involved as his wife is newly pregnant and the drama ensues! Great story...and...quite thought provoking!

A Redbird Christmas

What a delightful story to read at Christmastime! I loved all of the characters and enjoyed watching them grow through the story! Chicago - city/cold Alabama - country/warm........it's what made Oswald well - all the warmth of a small town.
