Kept thinking there was more to it than I got.
Wasn't sure what I would think of this Piccoult read. Love her others, so gave it a try. The courtroom was the biggest draw for me. Loved it. Very interesting and thought provoking topic. Great for Book Clubs, will provide much discussion.
A serious portrait of a woman who loves her children and loves her career. A career so brave, that it changes her life. I sobbed several times during this book. Identifying with Jolene as a woman/mother and then having my heart break for her as well. Fantastic read, couldn't put it down.
Was really into the book, but not thrilled with the ending. Pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed it up to that point.
Learned quite a bit about alcoholism. Good read, liked cadence a lot.
