My Reviews
Run by Ann Patchett
Insightful, Dramatic, Addictive
Not so fastI really liked Bel Canto and the Magician's Assistant, but Run felt a bit thin. The concept and devices were interesting, but it didn't feel like Patchett capitalized on the opportunities. The final resolution felt too convenient and perhaps even a bit contrived. The most interesting characters didn't get enough attention, and the central characters were flat. I was disappointed.
