Rebecca by Daphne Du Maurier

Rebecca

Most of my book club enjoyed Rebecca, and we had some very interesting discussion around it. After discussion, we all watched the movie and noted the changes Hitchcock made in the movie adaptation. The book is written from the P.O.V. of the main character, who is never given a name or much back story. Set in the English countryside at an estate on the seashore, the book is beautiful and haunting. I would highly recommend it.

Wild: From Lost to Found on the Pacific Crest Trail

This book kept me interested from beginning to end. Everyone in our book club really enjoyed it. There are a lot of parallels between her adventure on the PCT and her emotional and physical life prior. Very entertaining.

All of our members loved this book, and many have read/are reading the rest of the series. It\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s cozy, witty and warm. The characters are interesting and eccentric. We all found the veterinary info fascinating too. A story you can really sit back, and sink into!
