You'll love this series about a husband and wife who solve crime in Victorian England. Fast paced plots, winning characters and commentary on social inequity - these books have it all. Fun to read, I have read 7 in the series.
If you've read Dave Barry's other novels, you'll enjoy this comedy of errors in which 2 men get swept into wild circumstances beyond their control. My husband and I read it together and laughed out loud throughout. Nice change of pace - no deeper meaning here.
Even though this book purports to be written by Princess Mia from Cabot's Princess Diaries Young Adult series, in truth it bears no connection to the Princess Diaries series except that it is also written by the witty Meg Cabot.
A quick read about a miller's daughter who attempts to take a knight hostage to earn the dowry her sister needs and ends up falling in love, this book is funny, fast-paced, and sexy. A fun fairy tale for grown ups.
At once optimistic and heart-breaking, this book has it all. Comedy, tragedy and the complexities of long term relationships. I really enjoyed it!
