Although long by the number of pages, seemed shorter as you totally involve yourself in the characters. Everyone in our book club enjoyed it greatly, which seldom happens. This historical fiction takes you away and immerses you into the story, as if it is happening right before your eyes.
I usually don't care for sequels, but this one did not disappoint! "You Before Me" had such an abrupt ending that this book was a satisfying ending to a unique cliff hanger.
Fun to read book with lots of southern charm. Not only do you fall in love with the main character Libby, but also many of the others too. Although there are some sad and moving parts to this story it ends with a very satisfying conclusion.
This book made you want to pry answers from the main character faster than what the story was playing out. But with patients you will be rewarded.
I love when a book can truly take us to a part of history that was not talked about enough to really know the impact of hundreds of thousands during that time. This amazing history is combined with a compelling story of its own.
This was diffidently a book that everyone in are book-club LOVED! You will be amazed by the courage of many of the characters in this book. Despite the seriousness of the WWII setting, this story was very inspiring.
Hard to put down, tug at your heart novel.
