My Reviews

The Frozen Rabbi by Steve Stern

The Frozen Rabbi

Parts of this book were very entertaining especially the names of characters. Descriptions of immigrant life were detailed and very good. However, towards the end of the book, the writing lost direction and seemed to drag to an unsatisfactory end. A very strange book.

Second Person Singular by Sayed Kashua

Insightful, Interesting, Gloomy
The Complainers

The primary characters are somewhat unpleasant with continued complaints of their life. Did provoke discussion regarding switching one\'s life but other characters were left undeveloped.

The Color of Water by James McBride

Book Club Recommended
Interesting, Informative, Insightful
The Color of Water

The "voices" expressed in the book were revealing of individual struggles with myriad issues over-lapping one another.
