My Reviews
Jodi Pioult always give you something to think about and this book is no exception. I like how the black and white of suicide/murder issues are blurred when you get to know the characters. I would recommend this book for discussion simlpy because of the ethical points that it would bring but I definaitley felt cheated by the end of the book. I wanted more follow-up about how the characters reacted to the verdict and what happen to them a few years down the road-it just left me hanging.
This book is a great read my only complaint was the amount of characters and trying to keep them all straight. I liked how the author really brought us into the lives of the different characters and exposed the lengths all of us will go to to save face.
OK I know she is a first time author so I can't knock her too bad. But this novel is really not good at all. The characters are underdeveloped and there is to many she tries to develop too much. The story is predictable and since I have a hard time putting any book down-I just got annoyed with it!!
This book it amazing! I read it twice and loved it the second time just as much!
