Prodigal Summer by Barbara Kingsolver

Good read

The three characters are so different and so engaging it is hard to put down. That the author tells each character's story separately makes it so easy to keep track of each story. They way they tie together is wonderful.

Fun, Brilliant, Interesting
Difficult read

In some ways fascinating but becomes increasingly difficult to read. It became annoying but I was determined to finish.

The Husband's Secret by Liane Moriarty

Thought provoking

The book captured you after the 3rd chapter, then you can't put it down. It causes you to ask questions about your own relationships. This book also has a "what happens and could have happened" ending. Great book!!!

Stones from the River by Ursula Hegi

Slow, Dark, Insightful

Very hard to read. Started the book but kept stopping and not interested in the outcome. Not engaging for me personally.

A week in winter

A group of diverse and interesting people spend a week at an Inn where even the proprietor has secrets. The book reveals the secrets to the readers with much detail and the results of their interaction with each other. Not all endings are happy which makes it real.
