My Reviews
Well-written, laugh out loud teen romance. Added perk: self-respecting adults can read this in public without wondering if they're too old for it (cough, twilight, cough). Characters well developed and able to express a wide array of emotions except Mr. Van Houten.
Models S&M lifestyle, complete with a contract for domination! Not scandalous as much as slow. The main character can't decide if she loves the other main charcter enough to endure his sexual kinks. Underlying domestic violence vibe.
This book would have been a great magazine story (if the middle had been edited out). Just seems like the author is trying too hard. Also, significant emphasis on baldness. Wanted to ask the author to broaden the metaphors beyond hair.
Picked this book up at a flea market, and finished it the same weekend. The author does a good job of sharing stories any parent/spouse can relate to. Felt myself empathizing with and laughing along with the main character, Dave.
Grab your towel, this book, and head to the beach (or if you live in the Midwest, like I do, it's a nice way to unwind after a long day at work). Predictably enjoyable.
Oh come on....you kinda liked book one and wanted to see what book 2 was all about, didn't you? Not sure I've seen Stockholm Syndrome featured in a romance novel before, but hey, the author gets creativity points for that one.
Interesting plot, but a bit far fetched. Tempo was off--first 32 pages detail an arrest in minute detail; the narration in the rest of the book feels pressured.
