I didn't know much about the awful treatment about Japanese Americans. Crazy that it happened --book well written and intriguing.

The Book Thief

Started out really strange/wierd. Depicted WW2 and the holocaust from a German perspective. Really never thought about it like this. Very sad, so much loss. Surprising how much I don't know about this. Also surprised this is listed as children's literature. It's very deep.

Thought it was going to be hoaky due to title. It wasn't. Enjoyed getting to know all the girls. Vivid description of domestic abuse. Realyy good read.
