The Magic of Ordinary Days by Ann Howard Creel

Romantic, Informative, Beautiful
Tells the story of a young woman, unmarried, pregnant, in the mid-40s, whose father finds a man willing to marry her; she befriends two young Japanese-American girls who are in an interment camp.

Our book club enjoyed this selection and had a good discussion about both the book and the political ramifications of the interment years.
