The author claims his work is deeply and thoroughly researched, but his conclusions were unconvincing. It was not a broad and well thought-out work.

If you enjoy the many variations of Sherlock Holmes, you'll love this novel about his older brother, Mycroft. They often are critical of one another in the many Holmes books, but are delightfully alike in their keen intellectual gifts and clueless emotional lives. Kareem and Anna skillfully weave an absorbing, historic, and timely plot that includes an intelligent, patient and brave Cyrus Douglas, Mycroft's own version of Sherlock's Dr. Watson. Great fun.
