My Reviews
There are some problems, this being a first novel. However, it is a very worthwhile read particularly as it illuminates the early controversy over the acceptance of the developmentally disabled into public schools.
A delve into geology and naturalist history. Well written; blending a successful narrative style with copious detail about the natural history of the Indonesian islands as well as the historical perspective of colonialism.
This book may be uncomfortable to deconstruct because of the subject matter. However, if the point the book is trying to make is confronted squarely and with honesty, a good deal of insight can be gained by the participants.
I couldn't even get past the first chapter of the prologue.
